In 1976, Dawn obtained a one - year nursing license as an LPN at St Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota. A year later , she moved to Central Oregon and in 1977 began her employment at St Charles Medical Center. During this time, she went back to school to become an RN, first obtaining an Associate Degree, then moving on to a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. 

 

In 1998 Dawn obtained a License in Massage Therapy and started her own part-time business, which she continues today. 

 

After 27 years as an RN at St Charles Medical Center working primarily in ER, Critical Care, Airlife & management, she retired in 2004. 

 

In 2009 Partners In Care Home Health and Hospice hired her to be their Foot Care Coordinator, where she ran their foot clinic program until it ended in 2013. Dawn saw an urgent need to continue the program, so she immediately formed Feet Retreat LLC, which offers much needed quality foot care services to the senior population of Central Oregon. She now employs other nurses as part of her strategic foot care team. 

 

She is a member of the American Foot Care Association. Dawn stays current on foot care technologies by attending foot care conferences, working with and managing her Central Oregon team.
